EXPERIMENTS FIRST! – COLLECT DATA, PLOT GRAPHS TO ANALYZE, & DEVELOP EQUATIONS FOR PATTERNS

Leaders: Zhanna Glazenburg and Seth Guinals-Kupperman Participants will explore a variety of experimental situations in various contexts, (biology, chemistry, physics, physical science, . . . ) collect data, plot graphs to analyze the data, and develop an equation for representing the pattern in the data.

Three Dimensional Unit Planning Using NGSS

In this workshop we will be using all three dimensions of NGSS to design a coherent and conceptual unit plan that will foster enduring understanding of not only content but the big ideas in science.

Getting Students to Ask Good Questions in the Middle School Math Classroom

This workshop is geared toward middle school Math teachers and will explore the Question Formulation Technique (QFT), developed by the Right Question Institute.
