Materials, Molecules & Magnets: A Magnetic Resonance Story
Materials, Molecules & Magnets:
A Magnetic Resonance Story
Join us for an exploration of magnetic fields, resources at the National Magnet Lab, and how we understand the materials around us.
About the Talk
In this talk, Dr. Avalos will discuss what magnetic fields are, how we build strong magnetic fields, and how we use these magnetic fields to understand materials that are used in a variety of applications.
She will provide an overview of resources available at the National Magnet Lab and share insights on how she has utilized facilities there to better understand paramagnetic materials.
This session serves as an overview of what magnetic fields are, resources available at the National Magnet Lab, and how they are used to help us better understand the materials around us!
Key Topics
- Understanding structural motifs and spin in photoactive materials.
- How strong magnetic fields are constructed and utilized.
- Resources and research opportunities at the National Magnet Lab.
