  • Postings must represent legitimate, currently open positions with a verifiable school, district, or education organization
  • Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) language is strongly encouraged — employers should not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status
  • Salary transparency is encouraged in accordance with the NYC Pay Transparency Law (Local Law 32)
  • Listings including certification and licensure requirements must be accurate for the position.
  • Postings may not contain misleading titles, inflated compensation claims, or misrepresented job duties
  • “Pay-to-apply” or fee-based application schemes are strictly prohibited
  • Multi-level marketing (MLM), commission-only, or independent contractor roles disguised as employment are not permitted
  • All postings are subject to admin review and may be edited or removed at the discretion of the board administrators

For Announcements

  • We welcome any announcements that are relevant to the formal and informal NYC STEM education community (educators, administrators, students, families, or partner organizations).
  • Events, PD opportunities, and funding announcements must include accurate dates, eligibility, and contact information.
  • Commercial solicitations, product advertisements, and paid promotions are not permitted unless pre-approved.
  • Announcements must represent the submitting organization accurately — no impersonation or unauthorized use of another organization’s name.

General

  • All submissions are moderated and require admin approval before publication.
  • STEMteachersNYC staff reserves the right to reject, edit, or remove any posting that does not meet these guidelines, or for any other reason.
  • We will not tolerate any postings containing discriminatory language, hate speech, or content that violates federal, state, or local employment law.
  • Reposting of expired or rejected listings without addressing the reason for removal is prohibited.
  • By submitting, you confirm that you are authorized to post on behalf of the listed organization.
