About Me
Cat Garland has taught physics for 22 years in a variety of settings, ranging from middle school to college and public, independent and informal education settings in Vermont and New York City. She currently heads the k-12 Science Department at The Brearley School, an all-girls school in New York City. Cat is devoted to science education and equity in the classroom. She earned her Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of Hawai’i and loves to use outer space as an entry-point into any science topic!
