Dates: February 26, 2022 | 11am-1pm. Meets in-person at 132 32nd St., Brooklyn, NY 11232.
(Mostly) FREE Mini-workshop at Genspace!
About the Mini-Workshop
Join us at Genspace for a hands-on STEAM activity where we will use mycelium (mushroom roots) to grow fun shapes instead of traditional fabrication methods (please BYO silicon mold!). We will also host an interactive lab tour, showing you our community lab space and telling wonderful stories of the creative and cool things people learn and make here! Finally, our community project leads will tell you more about the projects currently happening in our lab, and how you and your students can get involved.
STEM in the City Spring 2022 is a a (mostly) FREE In-person series for teachers! This spring STEMteachersNYC and the NYC STEM Education Network are coordinating a series of free indoor and outdoor in-person gatherings for K12 STEM teachers across the five boroughs. Get together and have some STEM fun! Try something new, connect with or tour one of the amazing STEM nonprofits in our city, and take some new inspiration and resources back to your classroom!
